Valeta G. King. Valeta has been employed as a legal secretary/paralegal since 1974. From 1974 through September of 1986 she was employed by The Williams, Novack & Hansen Law Firm. During 1974-1984, the majority of her time was devoted to probate matters, as well as general law and litigation matters. From 1984 through the present, the majority of her time has been spent in civil litigation and personal injury matters. Valeta has been employed by the firm now known as Newton Kight L.L.P. since October of 1986. In addition to providing secretarial and paralegal support for Bruce Jones and Lorna Corrigan, Valeta does the billing for the firm and in-house IT/network administration. Valeta grew up in Stanwood, Washington, and graduated from high school there in 1973. In 1974-75, she completed the Probate Paralegal and Law Orientation classes at Edmonds Community College. Valeta is a member of Marysville First Assembly Church and is active in the music department there, playing piano/keyboard on the worship team. In addition, she enjoys working out, walking and hiking; attending/watching Mariners, Seahawks and Husky Football games; playing piano/keyboard for weddings and funerals; sewing and baking.
